Neighborhood Partnerships
The Joslyn Castle Neighborhood Association is proud to work alongside organizations, neighborhood groups, artists, businesses, and public safety partners who share a commitment to building a stronger, safer, and more connected community. Through collaboration, we create opportunities for neighborhood improvement, arts and culture, beautification, public safety, and resident engagement throughout Midtown Omaha.
Our Community Partners
Castle & Cathedral Art District
The Castle & Cathedral District is an arts destination that showcases the beauty of its past and serves as an incubator for creativity in the present. Their mission is to use and celebrate the power of the arts to build community, inspire cultural creation, and strengthen the ability of cultural and artistic organizations in the district to achieve (and drive) social and economic success.
Joslyn Castle & Gardens
Joslyn Castle & Gardens is a historic home museum, cultural and educational destination, and welcoming community greenspace in the heart of Omaha. Built in 1903 for George and Sarah Joslyn, the beautifully preserved castle offers visitors a glimpse into Omaha’s history, architecture, and artistic heritage. Today, the Castle serves as a gathering place for the community, hosting tours, educational programs, concerts, art exhibitions, weddings, and special events. Surrounded by gardens and grounds, Joslyn Castle provides a unique setting where history, culture, creativity, and community come together.
Cali Commons
Cali Commons is an important community gathering space focused on collaboration, connection, and neighborhood engagement. Through shared projects and events, we work together to strengthen community relationships and create welcoming spaces for residents of all ages.
Cathedral Arts Project
The Cathedral Arts Project enriches the neighborhood through music, arts programming, education, and cultural experiences. Our partnership supports opportunities for residents to engage in the arts while fostering creativity and community pride.
Midtown Neighborhood Alliance
Working with fellow Midtown neighborhoods allows us to address shared priorities including beautification, development, safety, historic preservation, and community advocacy. Together, we strengthen the voice of Midtown Omaha residents and encourage collaboration across neighborhoods.
Gifford Park Neighborhood Association
Gifford Park became a designated neighborhood in March 1989, when a group of residents united efforts to create a better environment in which to live, learn, work and play while promoting the unique assets of the Gifford Park area as an inner-city blend of residential, educational, commercial and recreational opportunities. JCNA teams up with Gifford Park for dumpster day and other activities.
Neighborhood Watch
Neighborhood Watch programs help promote safety, awareness, and communication among neighbors. Through community involvement and active participation, residents work together to help maintain a safe and welcoming neighborhood environment.
Omaha Police Department
We value our partnership with local police precinct neighborhood officers and community policing initiatives. Collaboration with the Omaha Police Department helps improve communication, public safety awareness, neighborhood outreach, and community trust.
Building a Stronger Neighborhood Together
The Joslyn Castle neighborhood thrives because of the partnerships and volunteers who dedicate their time, talents, and resources to improving our community. From cleanup events and public safety initiatives to art festivals and neighborhood gatherings, these collaborations help create a vibrant and welcoming place for everyone.
