Spring Clean up or Dumpster Day is right around the corner. The Spring Cleanup program is a joint effort between the City of Omaha and participating neighborhood or homeowner associations. The annual free event provides Omaha residents with the opportunity to recycle or dispose of large or bulky items that are not accepted through curbside waste services (such as old furniture, appliances, and mattresses). View the Omaha Spring Clean Up site to see what can be dropped off. Please note that tires will no longer be collected as part of Omaha’s Spring Cleanup. A new, separate tire collection is being developed with information available by clicking here.
Volunteers needed: Sign up for 1 or 2 hour shifts. We had such a successful day in the fall in large part due to all the wonderful volunteers who donated their time and energy. We need to start gathering volunteers for the spring clean up day, so if you're willing to help out, please contact Roger Carroll carroll.prairie@gmail.com.
