Picnic at the Castle: A Summer Tradition Returns to Joslyn Castle

Looking for a fun, family-friendly way to spend a summer evening in Omaha? Mark your calendars for Picnic at the Castle, a free community event hosted by the Joslyn Castle Neighborhood that brings neighbors together for food, music, games, and unforgettable summer memories.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of the historic Joslyn Castle Gardens at 39th and Davenport Streets, this annual gathering offers the perfect opportunity to relax, connect with friends, and enjoy everything that makes our neighborhood special.

What to Expect

Each Picnic at the Castle event features:

• Live music from talented local performers

• Delicious food from rotating food trucks

• Kids’ activities and lawn games

• Beautiful outdoor garden surroundings

• A chance to meet neighbors and make new friends

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic dinners—or simply purchase dinner from the featured food truck of the evening.
