Clarkson Park Cleanup: Neighbors Coming Together to Care for Our Community

The Joslyn Castle Neighborhood Association is inviting neighbors and community members to come together for a Clarkson Park Cleanup on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. This neighborhood cleanup is an opportunity to lend a hand, meet fellow residents, and help keep one of our community’s shared green spaces welcoming and beautiful. Clarkson Park is located on 42nd Street between Dodge and Davenport Streets.
Volunteers will work together on a variety of projects throughout the afternoon, including weeding, edging, trash pickup, and general cleanup and beautification. Whether you can spend the full two hours or simply stop by for a portion of the afternoon, every helping hand will make a difference.
Karl and Amy will help coordinate the cleanup and recruit volunteers. Their efforts, along with the participation of neighborhood residents, will help ensure that Clarkson Park continues to be a place where neighbors can gather, enjoy the outdoors, and take pride in their community.
The cleanup also provides an opportunity to look toward the future of Clarkson Park. Neighbors have discussed potential improvements that could enhance the park and make it an even more inviting community space. One possibility is working with Magpie to explore opportunities for adding additional fruit trees to the park.
Community parks thrive when neighbors take an active role in caring for them. We hope you’ll join the Joslyn Castle Neighborhood Association on September 20 to help spruce up Clarkson Park, connect with your neighbors, and contribute to the continued beauty of our neighborhood.
